Kept seeing flashes of lightning out of the corner of my eye. I thought I was maybe having a stroke at first.

Nice rain shower with few flashes in La Costa around 7PM. Moving North a few miles it was totally dry. Not a drop.

Altho, I did see a bunch of lightning and hear thunder around 8:30ish-9:15ish PM. Enough to remove the marching band members from the high school football field...

The thunder set off car alarms on our street. The dog was in the middle of taking a crap and the noise made him jump about a foot off the ground. And I got soaking wet.

The patio is a total mess since all the junk off the roof came down. Love the smell after the rain. Heard some people lighting off fireworks too. At least no one's house will catch fire in a downpour.
