How can you become fresh fruit vendor in the downtown SD?

Busking downtown would be considered panhandling. I don't think they allow fresh fruit vendors downtown. You would have to see if you could get license. You have to have a CA Sellers Permit from the Board of Equalization, and a Business License from the City of San Diego. And that's just the beginning....

I really hope this doesn't sound insensitive-I apologize if it does but I've always wondered this:
At the Home Depot in El Cajon on Fletcher Pkwy, there is always a ton of illegals who wait for contractors to pick them up as day laborers. This happens all over the city, not just Home Depot. Why don't the homeless men just grab some day labor jobs? Cash, pays better than grabbing the cans that have not been recycled by others, etc..

I think I know the answer but I'd like to read your comments.

Most of them are.

For most of the day laborers who frequent the 'hiring corners', their 'homes' are whatever canyon they haven't recently been kicked out of.
