B) A bunch of Yay Area transplants who moved SoCal seeking a better education/job/quality of life and haven't completely shed the ties to their inferior roots. Can't blame them. Be proud of where your from. Just don't rah rah about it in my town. Move back if it's so freaking awesome there. You won't be missed, and we could use a few less cars on the road.
There seems to be a split especially since the Dodgers did so poorly this year and the owners are going thru an ugly divorce making everyone wish the McCourts would sell the team and go back to Baltimore where they are from. If you have to root for a team I think most Californians are happy for the Giants even if they live in LA or San Diego. Also, I don't think there are many Ranger fans in California since they are a relatively new team and any team from Texas doesn't get a very positive reception in California; that's just the way it is.

Fine... nobody asked you to like it, and I just don't understand the hostility. If Texas had won I'd be bummed, but certainly wouldn't waste my time posting "Texas sucks!!" on their forum.

Well you said the Padres sucked. I just thought you should know that a veteran San Diego player and manager managed your team during this moment of triumph. Something that all the SF bandwagoners should know.
It was a joke, for cryin' out loud... I actually love the city of San Diego, and my brother coaches (little league) baseball down there. He's a die-hard A's fan, btw. I'm not a "bandwagoner" either, just someone who grew up in San Francisco - so of course I'm happy for my city's team!!

Goes to show that most Californians support other Californians when dealing with outsiders (yeah I said it). Of course there are exceptions, just read this thread

Did Barry celebrate or was he just quiet?

He could have pitched in the 9-0 win.

It's kind of like when the Canadians win an Olympic medal, and we start celebrating for "North America" - LOL. You're right, though... I think we ultimately band together, even when it comes to competitive sports.

That's when they beat the Chargers LOL! The only time I ever root against the Chargers is when they play the 49er's. I enjoyed that game, I really did. Id really enjoyed it more if it were to ever happen now just so I could be antagonistic to those who always fall for it LOL.

Ok I need to stop
