I want to go to City college of SF but it is way expensive to live in SF, is there anywhere relatively close, safe and not as expensive? The whole bay is expensive hmm

You can't go to another state? Or another part of California? There are community colleges all over the place in CA, as long as you get good grades and transfer to a good school after you get your AA I can't imagine going to CCSF is a lot better than going to a community college in the boonies. The East Bay is the cheapest part of the Bay Area but is still pretty expensive compared to other parts of CA or the US.

Well I know there are other community colleges but alot don't have a radiologic program and the ones that do just don't seem as appealing, in terms of the city itself. Out of state maybe an option

The bottom line is if you come to the SF Bay Area it's going to be more expensive. Just like you can't move to NYC and expect a Tempe, AZ cost of living, you can't move here and expect that either. Either be willing to find a way to make it work or, as mayorhaggar suggests, pick another school in a less expensive area with a similar program.

In your reply to him you say it's the appeal of the city, well, that appeal doesn't come cheap. It's like that for all major cities though. They cost more to live in or be near.

You're probably going to laugh at me for saying this, but Minneapolis is a good alternative if you can handle the colder temperatures. Lots of culture, art, and music with a very low cost of living. Also, in the off chance that you're an organic consumer, Minnesota has the most amount of natural food co-ops of any US state. SF is my ideal city, and I'm still trying to find a realistic way to get back there, so I understand the appeal.

If you have room mates and no car, living in SF isn't that expensive. Groceries are cheap and there are plenty of cheap eats. Public transportation is easily available.
