Year after year San Fran is consistently rated in the top 3 U.S Cities to Live.

Is this ranking justified?

I have yet to set foot in San Fran, but I'm just wondering what makes San Fran so great ?

What makes the city so unique?

I hear the people are a lot different from the rest of the U.S? If so, how so?

How is the nightlife, especially for a single guy in his young 20's?

Please see this thread, which should answer ALL of your questions! http://www.city-data.com/forum/san-f...ver-rated.html
I'm going to close this now, just because we shouldn't have two of the same threads... but if you'd like, go ahead and post separately about the nightlife (since we haven't had as much discussion on that topic).
