Super quick question guys. At about what time does the downtown san mateo (1st street) caltrain station parking lost fill up?

Alternatively, are there any other caltrain parking lots along the penninsula where the parking is plentiful and easy to get in the morning?

Thanks!

I can't speak for San Mateo but Millbrae has tons of parking.

Hillsdale and Millbrae are your best bet for parking.

I live a couple of blocks from the station and the Caltrian parking area above ground is full by the time I walk/bike over to the station around 7:45 AM. I do always see some cars going underground to the parking structure there, but I'm not sure if there is still parking down there at that hour.

A better alternative is Milbrae's BART/Caltrain station, like others have mentioned. It has a lot of parking. And Milbrae gets almost all of the express/baby bullet trains stopping at it, so you'll have more options for faster trains from there (although San Mateo and Hillsdale both also have good options for express/baby bullet trains). Milbrae also will give you the option to switch over to BART if you ever need to take it for any reason.
