How difficult is it to get an early childhood position? Are the schools good?

Correct spelling is "San Francisco"...though just referred to as "SF" by many...
Public schools in CA are generally awful vs similar public schools in affluent suburbs of NYC/Chicago....
Public schools in CA (and newer, lower-cost SunBelt towns like Dallas that mimic CA dynamics) attract lots of young criminals hoping to gain practice in their criminal careers by assaulting/robbing classmates and teachers....learning to read and count is over-rated in some cultures...
That said, prob have highest IQ/wealthy parents in City of SF's PacificHts/PresidioHts and PaloAlto area (only real comparable is Manhattan and Greenwich)....would look at private schools in City of SF and in PaloAlto area (BTW, PA public schools are perhaps only decent public schools in SF region, though having crime issues of PA)....
