Hello, I am very interested in purchasing a KB townhome that is inbetween the Union City bart station and train. I tested the noise level of the train and bart while in the model homes and didn't hear any noise, but wanted the advice from the residents there. I presently live near the train tracks and have to put up with the noise and rattling of the house. Do these houses rattle and are the train and bartn noisy if you are located in the middle of the community?

I would advise against buying a KB Home. They are of little quality. They put their homes up as quickly as possible and move on. In addition, they don't follow up with complaints by previous buyers regardin their warranty policy.

I've actually been looking at this area as well. The BART noise level is pretty low. The houses on 11th street facing the bart train, may get some noise, but the small hill blocks most of it, so the interior homes shouldnt get much noise.

I would be more concerned about the Amtrak and Freight train noise on the other side. Though the amtrak is supposed to be moved over to the bart side as they are building a new multi purpose station.

Oh! its wonderful..I live in pacific terrace now and its very quite neighbour hood. Becoz it has sound proof windows and walls, i cant hear any noise outside and not even a bart and a freight train. Before i was little concerned abt the bart noise but when i found out that its sound proof uhhh..now its more convenient me to get the bart and im happy that ive bart near by...and for the quality, don't worry nothing last forever...
