Looking for houses to buy in evergreen and I found that the area bordered by Quimby Rd on north, S white road on west, Aborn rd on south and ruby ave on east , has attractive prices . It covers these schools : Milbrook , Norwood and Quimby oak. But I am not sure about how good the area is in terms of safety and peace.
Can you experts share some insights and feedback about this neighbourhood ?
Did a drive around this area and I didnt find any concerns. The area is not as posh as the southern areas , but not bad looking. your feedback is appreciated !

I lived in a less nice zone to the southwest of that area, off of Aborn. What you're looking at is a safe area with a large immigrant population, decent shopping/restaurant scene, and horrific traffic patterns. There is just no good way to get through Evergreen to the freeways. And with the whole area being as crowded as it is, noise was a major headache. But that part is going to depend on your location within the development.

You find that area attractive for schools and prices?

Can you spend a bit more and consider east of Ruby or south of Aborn? The area you are considering is kind of blue collarish and access to 101 is a pain.

The eastern half of that "block" is not blue-collarish, eastern half is properly "well-moneyed" folks. OP, if you insist on buying in that block, go for the eastern half of it. Try to avoid the immediate surroundings of Remington Way. Buy as close to the Ruby side of the block as you can.

You are also very close to one of San Jose's hidden gems and one of its most romantic locations: The Pond
