I laugh my ass off when people claim there's some special creativity here. No, Its not that at all. It's just because we had nice weather that's it. We have no big "secret". Seriously if someone tried to set up Silicon Valley in Lompoc or eureka ca they would have the same successes if they set up a nice school in tandem.

That is just plain hogwash. You obviously don't know the history of Silicon Valley.

This is the only way I could see a crash happening.

If trump pulled the plug, it would send Fremont, Sunnyvale, San Jose market into a COMPLETE shock.

Rentals would get hit hard first

This would bring more tech jobs to American citizens in the Bay Area that always wanted to live and work out here. It would get built back up with time.

You have to have lived in this area recently to understand the climate here, it is shocking, you can be Fremont or parts of San Jose and feel like you’re not even in the U.S

A lot of people who were born or raised here have been priced out the area because of this.

Oh, I don't know, maybe the fact that there hasn't been a second Silicon Valley anywhere even close to approaching 1/2 of what we are? And we've been around since 1950's...it's been 67 years and no one has taken the throne from us.

Stanford is there and has the combination of tech and business talent. I agree the weather is fantastic and makes it desirable as well.

Though the weather in San Jose is good, the weather in San Diego is better. The weather is not the major reason for Silicon Valley.

People love mild summers more than raw heat.
