We were able to customize our home and pool/lanai however we wish, not very cookie cutter in my section but i do see some cookie cutter areas here as well as Palmer ranch, Not sure why people like to bash LWR, i think it is awesome, i really don't have anything bad to say about any areas, maybe because i am a newbie to Florida... we have a lot of neighbors that we go to happy hour with, wife goes to dinner with a bunch of other moms once a month, lots and lots of younger families in LWR as compared to older demographics in Palmer Ranch. My daughter loves it here and plays outside all day long if she could and we love it here as well.. Would love to know why people bash LWR ?? Cant afford it maybe ??

Simply put, Palmer ranch is more about quality and more uniqueness. Lakewood ranch is more about quantity which therefore limits uniqueness; no bashing going on just opinions/observations.

...plus Lakewood ranchers resort to name calling when facts are called out,..sad..

With respect to demographics 85% of all socials with kids and parents are from school contacts /
activities in both ranches.

The other 15% are from Crescent/Siesta regular beach goings for Palmer ranch families and neighbors on
cul-de-sacs/in park for example for Lakewood ranch families.

As a former Palmer Ranch resident, and someone who worked out in LWR, that sounds pretty silly to me.

It really is amazing to watch the knee jerk reactions when LWR is criticized. It's nothing more than an overgrown Truman Show now.

We went with LWR ultimately because there didn't seem to be an abundance of young families/ kids running around Palmer Ranch, it seemed alot older, basically older empty nesters... just what we saw when we were shown around...We are happy with our decision and my daughter absolutely loves this area.. kids everywhere..

I'm sure you'll find an abundance of resales a year from now.

We have a few resales in Esplanade Golf & CC at Lakewood Ranch due to a mixture of early buyers cashing in on very substantial property value increases as well as people who are buying larger homes or moving into the golf section all within Esplanade.

We're just a year after purchase and our model's base price is up nearly 15%, so no regrets here. Early buyers are looking at closer to 40% base price increases.

If we didn't sign the contract when we did, June 2013, we never would be able to afford it nowadays...Glad we signed when we did... $$$$$$$
