I don't know of any city that has both Verizon Fios and ATT Uvers in separate parts--
usually it is one or the other with Time Warner or ComCast or another cable company (usually older installation before fiber optics came in)...
and you can always go to Dish I guess as a personal option

Not always...in some condos, for example, there are rules that only allow a unit owner to place a dish in an area of their "exclusive use" (without permanently affixing it to the building or roof) which may or may not be in the right location for the dish to receive the satellite signal. If you happen to be on the wrong side of the building, you can't have that option.

But the OP is looking for SFR I believe
Even if HOA is restrictive u can usually put it away from front view or in attic snd get Dish set up
Condos are different issue I agree
