Mlb baseball spring training 2108 (Bradenton: restaurants, prices, vs.)

We went to the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. New York Yankees 1PM game today in Bradenton and had a blast. Nice clean facility, great crowd, great weather, and lots of younger players trying to showcase their skills for the big league coaches.

If you go, I suggest getting there at least 1 hour prior to game time as the parking is scattered, and can take some time. Not much in the way of sit-in restaurants nearby, but we found a fun Microbrew Beer Garden place to kill some time before the game. They had a food truck parking next door, so at least there was some option for food prior to entering the stadium. We saw lots of fans eating inside the stadium, but the prices were too high for our liking, but common by today's standards.

All around great experience for us, and will do it again real soon. Very family friendly.

Just another great feature of this area to love. Hats off to the Pittsburgh Pirates and City of Bradenton for making this possible to so many fans for so many years. I think they said since 1969 during the pre-game ceremony.
