My oldest rescue pet, Frosty, is 13. My youngest, Missy, is not quite 2 years old. Plus I have several of various ages in between. These little guys are so appreciative of having a home, toys, regular meals.

We do some volunteering with a local rescue shelter and I sometimes get angry at how irresponsible and thoughtless some pet owners can be. Too many people dump their pets out on the streets when they move from a pets allowed housing situation to a no pets allowed one rather than turn them over to the Humane Society or a rescue organization. Sometimes it can take weeks to get the rescued animals in physical (and also emotional) condition to be adopted out.

The more dogs and cats that are adopted on Saturday, the more room these great organizations have to take in new rescue animals.

Humans first. Animals second. Put Humans first....always, but be kind to animals.

"Clear the Homeless Settlements"....do THAT, rally for THAT.....far more important.
