I'd pick Tampa 100 times more than Sarasota

Its like comparing apples and oranges; Tampa is a large city and Sarasota a small city. However, I have friends in Tampa and they all wish they could move to Sarasota. I have been to both and would agree that Sarasota is a much better place to live. Good Luck!

Tampa is a larger city and will appeal most to people in the 30's and younger, singles, young professionals or those who want lots of nightlife, etc. Nicest area to live is South Tampa.

Sarasota is a MUCH smaller city, just a fraction of the Tampa population, and is enjoyed more by the 30's and older set, retirees, those who like a laid back lifestyle, etc. Sarasota has a lot of great things going for it, and personally for ME, I love it more, but there again those who want that "city" vibe will prefer Tampa.

I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Sarasota; my first ever visit to the USA. We stayed in a gorgeous house in Village Walk which is owned by the friends we stayed with. It is a very pretty community with lots of wildlife and lakes and paths. We even saw alligators which was very exciting. The people in Sarasota were all SO friendly, in shops, restaurants, people we met around the Village Walk community as we cycled or walked about. The quality of life seemed very good. Sarasota had a lot to offer with many nice restaurants, cinemas, malls, places to visit. I cannot compare it to Tampa as we did not visit there. We visited Venice and that seemed nice too. I would love to spend more time in Sarasota.

you can do? PLEASE!!!!. Can you have some signs put up. I was almost hit one day
because there was a car coming out of the parking lot through the side walk.
The area would Appreciate the help you can give us. THANK YOU

Sarasota.

Unless you're a bad person, in which case you should move somewhere else.

Have you considered Baltimore?

Kidding. Get back to me in three months, at which point my fiance and I will have been Sarasotans for three months and ten days.

We are moving from...uh, well....Baltimore.

Go figure.

Default Sarasota

Tampa is too big, crazy, and crime ridden. Sarasota would be perfect.

OK.

Will the mayor of Brandon please stand up?

Does the mayor of Brandon even read this forum?

Who is the mayor of Brandon and why doesn't he/she read this forum? Apparently there is at least one disgruntled voter on here.
