Woo hoo, an official confirmation of an endangered Florida Panther spotted earlier this month at the Carlton Reserve.

I don't know about any of you guys, but me and my husband are going to grab our cameras and head out to the Carlton Reserve this weekend. Imagine, if we actually got to see one of those big beautiful cats...

we have heard reports of a sighting near our home in rotonda, sadly we have never been lucky enough to see one of these beauties. we did have a pair of bobcats when we moved in but sadly they moved out.

Col W we visited an awesome wolf rescue sanctuary near Naples-you might enjoy a day there

Thanks sunshines. Are you talking about Shy Wolf Sanctuary just before you get to Alligator Alley? If so, I thought that it was closed to the public. Do they have viewing times now?

We went to an animal rescue - type zoo in Punta Gorda near Babcock Ranch. Has anyone been there? We took a bunch of pictures while we were there, but for some reason they didn't turn out.

Hey, isn't this Suncoast Guy's game?

No one could tell the difference between me and a Big Grizzly Bear because the pictures were taken from behind me and because the view was blocked by all the girls who were standing in the way to get a glimps so they could . . .

BigHouse, Was the place you visited Babcock Ranch? Because I think they have tours there. Otherwise, I've never heard of a zoo near there.

No, but they do have tours of Babcock Ranch, but that is not it.
It is an animal rescue / zoo across from there in Punta Gorda (but way outside of town). They have bears, lions, tigers, panthers, wolves, a babboon, and other big animals that have needed to be helped. It is a non-profit, and they work on donations, volunteers and admission fees. If I can remember the name I'll post it.
