We are searching for a condo in the Bradenton area. We want to be sure we are looking in a safe area. Which areas of town should we avoid? Thanks for any replies.

I would search in Sarasota, condo areas in Bradenton are limited in the nice areas. How much are you looking to spend? You can try Palms of Cortez, it's a nice gated condo complex and they run fairly reasonable. Otherwise, Serenata is nice also. These are located on University Parkway on the border Sarasota and Bradenton. Its a very nice area--actually, super nice IMO. I think LWR has condos also, but Im not sure if they make you pay CDD fees, if so, Id steer clear..

I agree that University parkway area would be a great place to look. It is a really nice area right between Sarasota/Bradenton, and is convenient to all kinds of great shopping/dining.

Peter is right, forgot to mention Tara area. Not sure if those condos are too family friendly and you get killed with fees, but it's worth looking into..
