Uh, you would have to walk to the Wal-Mart on 70. From there, take 8 until you are on US 41. Get off on 41, cross the street (because you would be heading north on 8 at this point, you want to head south) and get on 99. Take 99 to the downtown transfer station in Sarasota. Then take 11 to go to Siesta

You'll have to take both the Manatee CAT, and Sarasota CAT to get to Siesta. It looks like you'd take Rt 8 to 41, and then switch to Rt 99 that goes to downtown Sarasota. In Sarasota You'll take Rt 11 to Siesta.

You can get the Sarasota route map here: http://www.scgov.net/SCAT/RouteMaps/...202.4.2010.pdf and the Sarasota home page is hereSarasota County Government

Manatee's site is poorly designed, so I can't link you directly to the map, but you can get to their home page here: Manatee County Government -- serving the citizens of Manatee County Florida

Near the bottom of the page is a link for "MCAT -Area Transit System"
From there you can click the "Schedules and Maps" link on the left menu, and then the "system map" link to get the entire map.

Hope that helps.

If you start your trip to Siesta [using the bus system] some time around sunrise you may get there just in time to watch the sunset.
