Hello everyone

I am living in Mililani Hawaii............Heading your way in June to work on the last leg on my 20 + yr career, will be working on Ft Stewart however I want to live in Savannah is this a good ideal with traffic and all? Which is the cooler area to live in at least a nice breeze at night........I am a pretty simple person but I must admit I must live in a nice clean safe area. Don't need all the night life right at my door I like to go out to it and then return to my peace and quite. Welcome the advice

I just came from there! Schofield really. Cant help you on anything close to Stewart, but I hear Richmond Hill is nice.

Richmond Hill is much closer to Ft, Stewart, Neither place will have "nice breeze at night". Well, maybe sometimes. But from May through September and maybe even October, you may have to sleep with the windows down and the AC on.

Start off at Richmond Hill. Later you can move to Savannah if you find that RH doesn't offer you the life style you desire.

Richmond Hill may be better for what youre looking for. Are you 100% sure you are going to Ft.S or is there a chance you can go to Hunter Army Airfield? Hunter is right in the middle of Savannah.

Hunter is acturally surrounded by Savannah. So living in Savannah would be a smart thing to do if you are assigned there.

However, until you get an idea of how everything is, get a place that's the best for getting to your job. Rent for six months or a year and then make the decision as the best place that suits you. Both Savannah and Richmond Hill have areas that are far different from one another. What suits one person, may not suit you.
