Ugh... Bacon Park is a mess! They should be discounting golf while construction is going on. Honestly, I felt like it was a total ripoff last week. Henderson was a treat this morning, and at $16.50 for nine holes with a cart, you can't beat it.

Bet I can. La Vida 9 holes and cart is $14. Any less than that I guess they pay ME to golf there.
Told someone in my group this morning (In NYC $43 18 holes with cart) about the $14 price he thought I was pulling his leg. LOL.

Not bad. Henderson looks great on web site and not a very far drive.

I was very pleased with the shape of the course at Henderson. It was the first time I played there. The greens are really great, actually, and the fairways are nicely looked after. It's a very pleasant and quiet setting - lots of homes on the front 9, but I think the back 9 are in a nature preserve. I somehow avoided every bunker, so can't speak about the sand. The front 9 are pretty challenging (number 8 was particularly hard on me because I couldn't stay out of the water) - didn't play 18 today (too hot!). We were the first foursome out, and never felt rushed from the next group, even though they were already at the first tee at our tee time. Their web site leaves a lot to be desired.

What's going on with Bacon Park? I noticed they trimmed back all the trees between the golf course and Truman Parkway. It looks really good from the freeway.
