You guys need jobs. Get one before moving.

It's not that we don't want more nice young people in Savannah, it's just that behind all of the the pretty architecture and Spanish moss, there's a real city that's sort of expensive and offers a limited number of well-paying professional jobs. Now RV tech skills might be applicable to fitting out jet plane interiors, so you need to use your BRAINS to think laterally.

If it's the coast you desire...

In Florida: RV Service Tech job - Millennium Luxury Coaches - Sanford, FL | Indeed.com

Motor Home / RV Technician Jobs in Orlando, FL - El Monte RV

In Gulfport: RV SERVICE TECH Jobs in Gulfport, MS - Foley RV Center

Or just copy and paste this link and see them all.

Rv Tech Jobs, Employment | Indeed.com

Just don't move anywhere without a job.

Thank you very much Ellie! Moving is a big deal and to be honest we really don't know what we want to do 100% yet. We love where we live but the job market is terrible and the public schools have gotten really bad.

I gave this some thought and my gut says: your husband needs to re- invent himself into a RVTech with intimate knowledge of computers and the use of computing systems as they relate to what he does. There isn't a vehicle of any sort that does not rely on systems today and of course to rise to the top of his class he needs to get out of the $30,000 bracket by going to the next level of knowledge and education.
In addition, I'm sure that a greater percentage of the use of RVs are by retired people that would want the high tech stuff that is out there today for communication while traveling. Many of these folks are not up to date on the latest and greatest. For your husband to be conversant in this area should be a plus over the others competing for the same job.

Another poster mentioned work at Gulfstream here in Savannah. They are one of our largest employers in the area and as such they should be always looking at someone with the combined talents that your husband could put together. I hope.
