Yesterday? I'm still trying to get a handle on the domestic drama in Savannah just last weekend: A 20-year-old man drove down Abercorn shooting a gun out his window at the car driven by his girlfriend, 19. They almost reached my childhood neighborhood near Montgomery Cross Road when both cars collided and both boyfriend and girlfriend died instantly. You really can't make this stuff up -- nor can you make up the shooter's obituary I just read in the Morning News: "So-and-so entered into Heavenly Rest on Sat., November 28." I was about to say how truly surreal Savannah is becoming, but I guess the entire world is. Although no one does obits quite the way we southerners do.

Indeed.

It's very telling (IMO) how -- of all the people who've been shot and / or kllled in Savannah this year, you never EVER hear anything about thier personal lives -- much less what their names are. It's as if these people have no families, and nobody who cares.
