Newsboy I have a LOT of sympathy for workers in bad conditions in W Virginia. They have been kept from knowing in many cases how dangerous what they are breathing in or drinking is, and they have to feed their family. I place blame on the corrupt bureaucrats, pols, and company management. But we as a country need to realize yes it's plain economics, nat. gas is taking over and longterm sustainable energy will be even cheaper and we should invest in R&D now if we don't want to buy Chinese-engineered and created products in the future, if we want to lead. We traditionally have led on engineering across sectors but might fall behind on energy if we don't invest in new technologies.

Do you mean ELBA Island? And does this mean you are somebody far more high profile and important than we have been led to believe all these years?

SL ... I guess I should have said I don't have a lot of sympathy for coal miners who still want to be coal miners. I understand that for many of them, that's all they've ever known and all their families have ever done. But that's the problem. Something should have been done YEARS AGO to try to move these poor folks into better, safer, cleaner, more sustainable careers. They really are like the bottom of the USA labor matket and have been treated as such, oftentimes living in near third-world conditions. That Appalachia is so beautiful and yet such a horrible place ... it's criminal that these folks don't know any better. The coal companies are the last "slave industries" in America. Keep the man down, undereducated and ignorant.

Please find out..

1.) Amount of jobs and pay per position.
2.) How much is going to be exported and if all goes well will there be an expansion?
3.) Time frame to get it going?

More on drinking water. 6 million people are drinking contaminated water in the US everyday with heavy metals in them.
