That's the title of an article (video) on CNN. This just affirms for me that my decision to stay away from social media and not post my picture anywhere online was a wise one.

Heh! The one picture of me online is as a child showing my butt. Good luck on that identity theft.

Did you watch the video? It's about posting your picture online. Posting here isn't the same. You can register for a forum like this with a pseudonym.

Well, it's on CNN and the video demonstrated how true it is.

They can have fun searching on my name. I have a very common name that's shared with more than one television personality, as well as a major sports figure, an author, a famous police detective and many other people much more prominent than me. I rather enjoy the relative anonymity that my name affords me on the Internet.

Yeah, you go right on thinking that. They like people like you. The possibility is real. Even Facebook wants to launch the facial recognition program on it's site. That made the news, too. Real news. Real possibility for trouble.

Sure. But that's just scare tactics to get you to lock your door or buy a house alarm. You're too smart to fall for that and leave your door wide open because you aren't falling for the sensationalism...

Seriously, friend. It's time people start taking this stuff seriously. The technology is out there. Believe me. I've seen some of it that would make you snap your neck in disbelief of what it can actually do.
