There is no such thing like deleting online accounts. They can be deactivated due to non-use.
Everything ever posted, not only on social sites, stays on Internet servers forever and is searchable.
I don't understand why you can't de-activate accounts. Even if for some reason you want all contributions to remain on your site forever, users' should at the very least have the option to disconnect their account and overwrite any potential PII such as email addresses, etc.
This is a security issue. Websites can and do get hacked.

That is why you should use a throw away email account for any sites like this one. As for posting PII on forums, you shouldnt do that anyway. If you do realize that you have done that and you can no longer edit your post, then I would message a moderator and any decent forum would delete that part of your post.

Simply go into the settings and change the email address to a bogus one. I can't think of any other PII that would be in my CD account. I just looked at my profile, and there's literally nothing there.

I think the OP may be worried that they posted personal information at sometime.
