This is the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced in my life. I don't have any idea how the CC appears on the screen and struggle to remove it from the screen. Anyone with a Samsung TV know how the CC appears on the TV from the remote control? It seems like I keep accidently hitting something on the remote and it appears out of nowhere. Then I was told to remove it you select caption on and then caption off and turn off the TV for 15 seconds. But it seems like that is not working now. Has anyone experienced this with a Samsung TV? Its like now I dont want the remote anywhere near me because as soon as I tap it accidently here comes the CC on the screen again.

Who is your provider, if you have one? My Samsung has two selections under the "CC" category. One is for "closed captioning" and the other is for "DirecTV Subtitles". Could you inadvertently be selecting one or the other when you're moving across the screen from "Info"? On my remote provided by DirecTV I don't see any way to select for either one - it's all on the screen.

If I were to use the Samsung remote instead, there's a yellow button with a "C" on it at the bottom of the remote. Does yours have that? Mine is a 2012 model so things may have changed.

Beyond that, I haven't had the problem you're experiencing and I hope I don't. Sounds really maddening. Good luck!

Im a youtubeTV subscriber and when I watch YTTV through the Samsung TV, thats when I see the CC. So I just been watching it on Firestick until I get it removed. I dont even know it appeared back on the screen and Im thinking I hit a button again on the remote. My Samsung TV is a Crystal UHD. I prefer to use the YTTV app through the Samsung TV because the picture is brighter and sound is better vs the firestick

Thanks for the clarification. Your TV is newer than mine and I don't watch youtubeTV on mine - I use my computer for that but don't have CC issue - so I'm in a different world. Hope you figure it out soon.

Its a Samsung TV issue. When I watch YTTV on my computer or firestick, there is no CC on the screen

Not saying it's NOT a TV issue. But it's an app specific setting vs. account. I can have CC on one instance of YTTV and not another...

I just have to take my time and try to get it off. I was just praying someone on here had the solution to end all my aggravation. Its not a huge deal now because there are no sports until september so its not a big rush to take it off the screen.
