Has anyone used the ReMarkable writing tablet? I love writing in notebooks for my work notes but it would be nice to have something more multi-faceted. It’s supposed to feel like writing on paper but I’m skeptical of buying it without reviews first. Thanks in advance!
We've got quite a few of the ReMarkable's around here. The folks that use them, love them - but it's a niche product, and godawful expensive for what it is. I've used the Rocketbooks and they're not "bad", I just don't like them in general - which is the consensus for a lot of our office. The ReMarkable's are easier to use overall. The PIN is nice if you leave it laying around, although it doesn't lock when you close the folio, only when it goes to sleep or you hit the power button. The battery lasts forever, the pen/cil is nice to use and the folio is nice, but again, absurdly expensive. It should be made out of the finest of leathers for the price.
Screen is very nice, and the cloud integration is pretty slick. You do need to pay for a subscription, but it's free for the first year and a couple bucks a month after that.
*Disclaimer - no, I don't work for them, and I've only handed them out to our execs that specifically ask for one. Most of our folks just use an iPad.
I know it is not for everyone, but I am actually surprised how well the Type Folio works. The typing experience with it is not bad at all.
Granted, again, it is on the pricey side.
