In the video, we used a stack of books, a strand of hair and some pennies to see how strong hair is. By taping pennies onto a strand of hair one by one, we were able to measure the strength of a single strand of hair.

What the video (which is very informative BTW) doesn't say is that different color & type of hair has varying degrees of tensile strength.

Well I wanted to know specifically where the hair broke. I.e., that it broke in two, and didn't just become untaped from the pencil. . .
