Me and my wife will be moving up to Seattle from Portland very shortly.
We are looking at downtown, Capitol hill, all the way up to Queen Anne.
We have not owned a car for many years, and would love to keep it that way. We also have a small dog (under 15 lbs).
We are looking to spend at the most $900
Studio+
If you have any suggestions please help, I'm having such a difficult time finding a studio or 1br that allows dogs, and not with a 10% prior tenant approval rating.
Willing to take any advice on safe, walkable, neighbor hoods, with some kind of energy on the streets.
Thank you in advance

Honestly, use Craigslist, make sure to punch in "dog"... apts under 900 will show up in the Seattle area (though I'm not sure about the 10%). I would say to broaden your list a bit as well, to include West Seattle, Columbia City as well as the suburbs up North (Wallingford, Ballard, et. c.).

Umm ... just a nit, but Ballard and Wallingford and Fremont aren't suburbs. Seattle city limits terminate just north of Greenwood. They're what's called "neighborhoods."

Anyway ...

$900 in this market won't get you much. Up it to $1300 and you have a shot at something decent. Oh, and Ballard, Wallingford, Fremont, U district, etc. are all great neighborhoods, but you may still need cars to get around the city efficiently. You really need to tell us where you'll be working, what kind of markets you want, what kind of neighborhood, etc. are al requirements.
