San Francisco is a World class city. Period. S.F. has international recognition. Period.

^ ^ All true, just as Porsche is a "world class" automobile, with "international recognition".

Although that still doesn't mean it's necessarily the "best" at everything (let alone the kinda thangs that the average real-world 'driver' might find more important)!

So, people who hate on SoCal just remember there are pros and cons to every city in America. Appreciate cities for what they offer and don't always look for the negatives to justify why you don't live there.

I live in Laguna Beach, CA and wanting to move to Seattle very badly.... with that being said.... What you see on T.V. about SoCal is so true!! Orange County Housewives....... DEAD ON! Anytime I see them filming I run the other way... When the TV show "laguna beach" was on T.V. it was dead on too. I'm not sure which shows your talking about that don't show SoCal to be what it is.... Don't get me wrong.... There is nothing wrong with Big Boobs, Fake blonde hair, botox, collagen, overpriced cars ( i drive one too), pretentiousness and all the other stuff that makes up SoCal. It's just not my style! ~

I've never understood these generalizations. Both cities have millions of people in them. Out of those millions, surely, there are thousands of perfectly nice - however you define that - people we can choose to interact with. And, for those we might interact with who aren't so pleasant, we can go out of our way to be nice to those people. And unless you are from a different species than me, we all fit into the unpleasant to be around category far too much. It's doing kind things like that that make someone happy. Everything else - weather included - I don't think makes you happy, or unhappy. Seattle's rain, SoCal's heat or traffic, etc., just gives people who are unhappy another excuse for their unhappiness. Plenty of good things and bad things about both places - just a matter of which you've decided to focus on. And believe me, I'm as guilty as the next guy in this regard Not condemning anyone, except maybe myself.

i just moved here from So Cal about 6 months ago. The weather hasn't bothered me as much as I thought it would. Maybe because I spend a lot of time indoors. Another year of this and I may go batty.
