I don't know if the Sea. Film Fest has "evolved" since I tried it out, and various friends tried it, but back many years, it was full of depressing Scandinavian films. Everyone I know who went, was really disappointed. I hope it's lost that heavy Scandi influence by now; there's so much more to show--so much cultural diversity in film these days! I've really lucked into a great niche in Santa Fe, NM, where the annual film fest is full of Native American and Indigenous films, Buddhism films, and other cross-cultural fare.
