June is definately not summer here - it's still in the low 60s (probably 50s) and grey

Come in August - even July is not that great

One of the reasons I moved out of Seattle was the weather (that plus traffic and high housing costs) but in all honesty the weather from 7/15-9/15 is normally pretty dry (you will have some rain). I will always miss the summers there though--I cant think of one city that can compare during those 60 days--absolutely beautiful and with temps around 80 degrees cant be beat!

I moved to Redmond from NYC during August of 2003 and the weather was spectacular through the middle of October. The grey months that followed, however, proved extremely difficult for me. But, wow... that summer was really spectacular! Now I live in Florida, and I have a new name for that glorious weather I experienced that summer: WINTER! 80 degrees with sunshine is forecasted for Christmas. I feel bad for those Salvation Army Santas down here who sweat while collecting donations in front of our supermarkets.

Yes, forget June.

I remember we would visit where we are now living in June, every year. We would leave rainy and 50 degrees, to come to sunny & blue skies.... and when the plane landed, again it would be rainy and 50. It sucked to coming home to still having the furnace on... IN JUNE!!

July is iffy - but August is your best bet. By September, again it's iffy and not really shorts and tshirt weather anymore. It's chilly in the morning and evening. Like everyone else said, even in August, you risk rain - but like someone else mentioned, it's not likely to be a complete rain fest.

Again, who knows... these "what a freak year, this never happens" sort of seasons seem to be happening more and more.

Very true. For example, this past year was very different. May was so hot that everyone was running around in shorts and flip flops, but August was dreary and rainy.

We all must remember this is the pnw and here June will not (in most cases) be 80 or 90 degrees. Yes it will be in the 60's but that is fine to us. If you notice many do not walk around with coats and mittens during this time because the 60's are quite comfortable for many northwesterners. Maybe not Citygirl but to many including myself it's quite comfortable.

On Wednesday, June 13th I stopped by the Columbia City Farmers Market. The temperature reached 66 degrees that day.

June 22nd it reached 68 but as you can see its was a beautiful June
day to us.

I'm not a native but I got use to northwest weather very fast. I love it.

Who's "us"? LOL It's ok...not uncomfortable, but I'd take 90's over 60's any day.

I'm glad you love Seattle so much tho, pwright...wish I did.

Us, meaning northwesterners who love the weather here. I'd take 60's over 90's. I remember attending the Taste of Dallas. It was 96 hot and very humid. It wasn't even that crowded. Too hot and humid to taste any of the food.
