We are trying to decide between a house in edu hill Redmond and timberline in Sammamish. Anyone has thoughts on the commute to MS from these two areas or the difference between Edu Hill elementary schools and Blackwell school in Sammamish?

Is the commute from Edu Hill to MS as blocked as the traffic from Timberline to MS? How much time does either take during peak hours? Any insights appreciated.

This is a classic case of "6 of 1, half a dozen of the other." Both locations are very close to Microsoft, if there were no traffic, but require going through some of the worst commute-time congestion in the region. I would give the slight traffic advantage to Ed Hill, the slight school advantage to Timberline. I would leave it up to the place that has the best house available for your needs.

I'm a big fan of going to each place, getting out and talking to neighbors. They have nothing to hide, will give you the straight scoop.

Traffic can get VERY backed up at commute time funneling to and from Sammamish Plateau. But Edu Hill has a couple of potential bottlenecks to cross Redmond.

Check out North Rose Hill. Good schools. But old construction for $650k or so, or new for million five. When I was interviewing at Microsoft main campus a few times, while living in NRH my drive times averaged 10 minutes at non-peak times, 15 minutes at rush hour. And it would have been an easy 15-20 minute bike ride if I had gotten a job there.
