Hey Kitt,

I've backpacked solo in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal so I crave good Indian food on a regular basis Thought you might enjoy this link, one of my favorite Indian grocery stores:
Bothell – Apna Bazar

Regarding your question, I'm of two schools of thought. Although it is nice to be on the ground and learn about an area before you buy, you are right that prices are going up. Maybe a short term rental to give yourself flexibility?

To answer your earlier question, Bellevue and Redmond are more expensive because they are close in, the main job centers of this region are Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond/Kirkland. Each mile you get away from that, you get more home for your money. Example: Sammamish home prices are lower than Bellevue, though both have very good schools. Shoreline and Bothell have lower prices than Seattle, same thing. Hope that helps.

thanks for the link and info. i am hoping to travel from here for few months and use some of that time to pick a place. thought of moving twice in short is dreadful. i would rather not put family thru that.

i am employed in IT. i would need to be in short commute distance from these places/tech jobs. your profile says, you are RE Agent. if so, i will reach out to you if we end up picking seattle.
