Hi, all. I've been trying to find an answer to this question online but just can't get a definitive one. Do the newer houses being built on the East Side (Sammamish, Issaquah, Bothell, etc...) have basements or are most new homes built with slab foundations? When we moved from CA to Denver I quickly became dependent on having a basement for an exercise room, storage, etc... Also, where are some of the better new home developments that are within a reasonable commute to Redmond? We started looking at Sammamish and Issaquah and found them to be fairly pricey but found that areas like Bothell and Carnation were more reasonable. If we were to move we're after the usual: good schools, low crime, convenient shopping/commute, etc... I tried Realtor.com, the Seattle Times website, and the all powerful Google to try to locate this information but unfortunately can't replace the advice/insight of a local. Thanks in advance!

The most inclusive resource is MLS Online, for a vast area around Seattle:
Seattle Real Estate, Top Seattle Real Estate Search, TheMLSonline.com

There's also homes.com for King County:
King County Homes for Sale. Real Estate in King County, Washington

You might be interested in the Bridle Trails area of Bellevue, west of the MS main campus.
