If any of you Seattle locals have seen the 2003 movie 'The Ring' .. do you happen to know what apartment complex 'Rachel' lived at in Seattle? They are the huge group of high rises shown through the movie.

Thanks.

It's almost certainly in Vancouver, B.C...I don't think The Ring was shot on location here, but I could be wrong. Most films that are set in Seattle are filmed in Vancouver.

Toughguy is usually spot-on about the current culture stuff. But guess what? With some Googling I found that this movie was filmed in Los Angeles, Boston and Seattle.
The Ring (2002) - Movie Details - Yahoo! Movies
Because of earthquakes, relatively small population, and a lot of single-family houses, Seattle doesn't have a "huge group of high rises" in terms of apartment buildings, unless "huge" and "high" aren't what I think they are. Sounds more like Boston probably.

More Googling:
The Ring (2002)
5th and Stewart in Seattle is noted on this site as a location in the movie. That's office buildings and a hotel in the center of downtown Seattle.

If you want more info, I suggest you Google. There's info available.

If I recall correctly, the residential building featured in The Ring was quite massive and didn't really look like Boston to me, but I haven't seen the movie in quite some time. I'll have to rewatch it, even though the first time I saw it, it scared the bejesus out of me (yes I am a puss...).

hahaha ... well the scenery around the apartment and stuff really looked like seattle but i guess i could easily be fooled. just figured a place that big would be pretty notable in someones memory if theyve seen it while going around town or whatever.

Purely in the name of research I'm going to rent the movie and see what I come up with.

Wow Seattle people are quite helpful. Sometimes I watch that movie for the scenery of the Pacific NW ... I know there are some parts filmed at a place known as Deception Pass... looks beautiful.

Cool Harbor steps

The name of the building is called the Harbor Steps. Its at first and union in Downtown Seattle. Its across the street from the Seattle art museum. I use to work there. I remember when they did some filming there in the garage as well.
