Smile oh, thank you!

You have no idea how much I appreciate those pictures. Hubby got his lay-off notice in late March (Motorola) but he got a really lovely job offer from Microsoft within a week. I, however, am the reluctant-to-move-North one. Hubby loved the cold and "Northern" feel from his college days. My family moved down to Miami in the mid-seventies from NYC due to medical advice (weak lungs, crappy immune system).

The idea of clouds and rain and cold make a Miami girl just go into a mighty bleak mindset. Sigh. But those pics were refreshing. Really lovely. If we have to move, I guess I'll put bright lights all over and look forward to the beautiful days like that.

It's gorgeous here today (some rainstorms, but bright and warm and breezy). I'll really miss Miami winters if we choose to head NW--December through April down here is, to me, perfection. I'll miss the great Latin American food.

I won't miss Miami summers and hurricanes. :O

Your housing costs scare me, though. Worse than us down here, and we have had totally nutsnutsnuts bubble housing costs in the last few years. (Some decreases lately.) (Prior to that, really pretty affordable down here for working and middle class folks, like my parents were and most of my family.)

Anyway, thank you. I appreciate your posting those. You take wonderful photos. (Post more!)

Mirtika

Oh good. Today, I've noticed that there's a lot less "Seattle sucks: It's too cold/rainy/cloudy/full of lesbians/moldy and everyone's a big fat meanie" talk.

I really need to pay attention. At first I thought "Today is NOT 70s and sunny, what are they thinking?"

Nice photography on a nice clear day. :-D We get so many cloudy days and I love looking at different clouds.

71 degrees sounds like a nice day this weekend, let's see what happens.
