Local News | Seattle woman charged with knife attack on boyfriend's ex | Seattle Times Newspaper

Why a woman who was convicted of killing a pregnant woman in a jealous rage wasn't given the maximum penalty to begin with is beyond me. Now that she's attempted another murder against yet another woman in yet again another jealousy blinded rage means to me this woman is unstable and should be either incarcerated the rest of her life with no possibility of parole OR given the death penalty.

What do you think?

This year has seen a lot of crazies in the Seattle area ... Monfort and his police killing "crusade", the Greenwood arsonist, and now this woman. What's happening to Seattle? It used to be a very safe place to live ... . It's not just these people either, there's been murders every few days in the area now.

It's nothing new, and Seattle is still a safe place to live with a low homicide rate. But for whatever reason, we've produced our share of serial killers:

Suspected or convicted serial killers in Washington

I wonder if WA produces more serial killers because the perps aren't caught sooner than in some other states.

IMO, it is the "last stop" syndrome. Many unstable people keep moving west, and run out of room. It's their last stop. Geography, more than anything.

Yeah, but I think the Green River killer, Ted Bundy, and Wesley Allan Dodd were all from here.
Seattle has a low suicide rate. Maybe the rain doesn't make you want to kill yourself. Maybe it makes you want to kill lots of other people instead.

The lady should have been killed by capital punishment in the first place. Some say it's cruel and unjust punishment. Isn't it cruel and unjust what she did? When I was in Peru I remember a man was trying to steel some money from a vendure at the market. He was beat and dragged into the street. The people told us that they have to take things into their own hands because the police are to busy. Thats probably how our society will become some day, since the government won't fix the problem and use more capital punishment or imprisionment for life we may have to take stuff into our own hands.

Well, sort of. Ted Bundy was born on the east coast but moved early in life to Tacoma. Wesley Allan Dodd was a Tri-Cities, WA youth. Gary Ridgeway (Green River Killer) was born in Salt Lake but moved early to western WA.

I love the rain but frankly have never desired to kill lots of people. (OK, maybe some other drivers, but I digress).

There is a simple and logical solution to the "capitol punishment" Vs. "no capitol punishment" debate. Those who want capitol punishment should have to take turns pulling the trigger and those who don't want it should have to pay the cost of keeping them alive.
