Yeah, I know it's a bit old now (I didn't know until about 2 weeks ago), but seeing a new strip club being built near Safeco Field on 1st Ave South (where families take their kids to see baseball games) is a bit upsetting and disturbing! I really wish the Mariners would have continued to fight this or at least convinced them to move further away from it. I mean really, who wants to take their kids to a ball game going down a street and parking 200ft away from a strip club? Oh my goodness, do they care about the children anymore?

Sorry if you think I'm overreacting, but I don't think it's right.

It doesn't offend me. Maybe you should move to the bible belt?

Ever been to Pike Place Market or the Seattle Art Museum ... look across the street from both places. It's part of living in a big city. A good time to explain to your kids about morality and what good choices are, rather than shield them from reality.

On the whole, I'm more upset about spending $1 billion in taxpayer money to build workplaces for for-profit corporations who hire overpaid entertainers than I am about whether or not there's a boobie bar next door.

stripclubs are good for the economy people- think about who beneftis

-foodservice - somebody has to eat those wings
-beverage - have a coke and a smile
-fashion - clear heels cost money
-metal industry - them poles don't come cheap
-fitness industry - the ladies have to stay in shape if they want to get those patrons that make it rain
etc etc etc...

It's wrong to have it so close to a community area. It is a person choice to go to a strip club, but I feel that it's wrong.
