Turkey will be the next country to implode. The strains have been there for a lot longer than this ISIL business. As a gateway country in more ways than one, it will be a rather large mess to clean up, whomever gets that chore.

Lets not forget that the EU powerhouse, Germany, started efforts to reduce their Turkish population some time ago, seems they saw at least some writing on the bathroom walls.

We haven't managed to put one banker in prison because of the last economic meltdown. The reason is simple, those crooks will be needed pretty soon, they do have some skills and crooks are pretty good at building things, you just need to give them something they really want more than anything else including money - their freedom to stay out of prison.

After all the survivalists and preppers shoot each other trying to protect their static safehouses, it will be pretty much a free for all for the rest. Just make sure you get to know the preppers on your street, they'll be easy pickings because they really believe that a wheelbarrow full of ammunition and some of their favorite guns are actually going to do more than become worthless really quick. The same goes for the asset hoarders, you know, the ones who keep saying that gold has never been worth zero. Yeah, ask the guy with a gold brick and no water just how much his gold is worth.

Since wealth does buy some access to information, check your local airports. No private jets landing and none sitting in hangars ought to give you a clue.

There won't be a World War III, that is just wishful thinking on the part of those who believe it. There will just be rather large regional wars all over the place. The US will try to stay out of them, if only because we no longer have the capacity to protect the WhiteHouse let alone our borders.

Russia will sit out most of the noise and its population, understanding sacrifice will sit down with the Germans and start rewriting maps. They would have done it along time ago where not for two complete idiots like Hitler and Stalin. Like the super high IQ geniuses who can pick their noses and eat boogers but can't spell the word "snot" they couldn't figure out what Merkel and Putin have, that if you have highly advanced businesses and lots of energy, in the end you can make the guns, the bullets, pay the soldiers and put bread on the tables and that is the way to win the monopoly game.

When you see a tank running down the highway at 165 mpg with a big 3 Star emblem on it all the while not even shaking up the occupants because they are seated in fine leather, don't worry, it is will green because it runs on natural gas, courtesy of Moscow.

Turskey is an economic powerhouse and doing quite well, better than we are actually. They have the military might too. Turkey has also been a country for many centuries in one form or another, its citizens are used to its statehood - usually conflicts erupt in countries whose citizenry does not understand the concept of running a country (did not have the traditions and mechanisms and institutions for long). Turkey is the last place to see big problems, in my opinion.

Germany will never act militarily again, their population is a far cry from 1914-1941. They are an economic powerhouse, the population is happy and taken care of (things like free education and free healthcare do make a difference, you know), they are doing quite well and have come to be a dominant force in the EU peacefully. They are also wise and on track on producing most of their energy from solar, thereby slowly reducing dependence on Russian energy.

Where are you folks buying your crystal balls? Are they on sale at Walmart?

Not to say that I've never written or spoken in declarative sentences regarding the future, but I try not to because I know damn well I'm not a prophet and have no ability to know absolutely what the future holds. Do some of you folks out there really have the audacity to think you know what will or will not happen in the future across all time and space over the expanse of the entire universe? Talking about having a God complex...

Nonsense. That is all you have?

The Germans will never act militarily again. Where have we heard that before. Obviously you never studied any history. Goes along with the Soviet Union is finished and so on. I can't stop laughing.

Just checking reaction time and interception methods comrade when they do come you won't know what hit you!

People should not take everything literally. "History repeats itself" does not apply to EVERYTHING, ALL THE TIME, people do learn from previous mistakes. Russia today is a far cry from Soviet Union, you should not buy all the propaganda. The chances of communism overtaking Russian society are slim. Saying that an ex-KGB man running Russia means they will became communist is like saying an ex community organizer running USA means USA will all be about community organizations

history does in fact repeat itself if you forget it, as you are doomed to repeat it if you do forget history.

Yes but you will be hard pressed to find many Russians today who look fondly on the times they stood in line for bread or could not produce rock music or read any book they want. The people who miss the ex-Soviet times are elderly but they will all soon be gone. You will also be hard pressed today to find a German who thinks 1914-1945 was a great time, people in Germany, just like you, want to live peacefully and well and long. They have free healthcare, free education, their levels of violence are low and levels of education are high. If anything, in the last 60 years we here have been creating a lot of unrest in the world with silly invasions, bombing people left and right etc., no? There is no history for us to learn from, it would appear. I think Germans have learned their history well.
