I couldn't find any other forum this seemed to fit in, so guess I'll take a stab at it here.

I don't buy enough from Albertson's to know for sure what the "rare" game pieces are. I usually have my board about 70% full by the time the game ends, and I always wonder if maybe I had the rare piece for one prize that I had a couple spaces left open on and the open spaces were a dime a dozen but I never happened to get that particular game piece.

So, anyone know which pieces are the rare ones for this year's Monopoly game?

it's Boardwalk every yr. as well as one piece from each of the high value things. Look on Craigslist for people asking for a specific piece(s), then you'll know.

It doesn't look like the pieces are named this year, just numbers. Thanks for the craigslist suggestion, that should work. I see a couple people asking for specific pieces.

I think that is for the McDonald's Monopoly game. Albertsons doesn't use named spaces.

Sorry - mixed those up - but they both run the same thing: there "might" be one single piece of the expensive stuff, LOL (I guess there has to be or they break the law)..

The list posted above is very helpful. Also, if you get a $5 Fandango gift card, click the "redeem" link ONLY in the email if you want a $5 visa gc instead (must click redeem digital). I made a mistake and clicked "redeem" through the monopoly site and it locked me into only using it on Fandango. I used my $5 visa giftcards (won 4 so far) to get $20 in Target giftcards (you can do this on Target's website). More people are using them on Amazon.

Thank you Coloradomom, I wouldn't have even looked if you hadn't posted this. I'd have assumed it was just movie tickets. I now have an extra $5 at Amazon.
