I ordered online and picked up via curbside a 12-cup coffee maker at Target a few weeks ago, used it several times, and determined that I'd like to swap it for a smaller size (5-cup). When I went back online to begin the return, it gave me the "keep it" message. I'm accustomed to Amazon doing that for small orders, but this is a $30 item and I'm literally right down the road from the store.
Is there a way to override the current return and drive it back to the store for an exchange? I can't seem to reach anyone at the store who can give me an answer.

I assume they decided that an used item is not going to be put on sale anymore and will join their daily trash pile. So they offer a keep option.
I don't think they can resell certain returned personal items. I've wound up with a couple of pillows I didn't like, but at least they were free.
I recently watched a YouTube video about a store that sells Amazon returns; apparently, Amazon doesn't resell returned items, just bundles them up and sells them to resellers. Many items were missing parts or dirty, some were just empty boxes.
I agree that we should shop responsibly, but sometimes the product doesn't live up to the claims.
Why would you think returning an item you used is ok in the first place? SMH.
