I'm not sure this is still being sold or not because I can't find it. They used to make a product that you put inside your microwave to clean. It was a flat package and you put it in and set your microwave for I think a min and the package would open open. After the timer would go off then you would let it alone and after a short time you just opened the door and it would allow you to just wipe away any food or spilled stuff in the microwave. It worked really well but I can't find it . Does anyone know what I talking about?

You can do the same thing yourself by spraying a paper towel with a nice-smelling cleaning spray and just turning the oven on for about two minutes. You can use the towel to wipe off any loose gunk.

I remember those. They were great. I haven't seen them in a long time though.

Try some lemon slices in water - turn microwave on for a minute or two.....helps at least with the odor. I try to wipe down any food on the inside each time I use it, that way it doesn't continually re-cook....but I know with husbands and kids this isn't aways applied!

Another good tip: keep a paper plate in the microwave, it will catch alot of stuff.

When you need you clean, as posted some lemon slices in water - or just put water in a measuring cup and boil it - when it's done, let it sit for a bit. The inside gets all steamy and it's easy to clean up.

Wipe it after every use or so...and you won't NEED those "cleaners"! Cover everything, so you don't get spatters!

Another Use for Vinegar (Nature's Magic Cleanser):

Place a microwave-safe bowl with 2 cups water and 1/2 cup vinegar inside the microwave. Microwave on full power for 3-4 minutes (it needs to boil). Keep the microwave closed for a few minutes to allow the steam to loosen the grime. Open the microwave, carefully remove the bowl, and wipe everything clean with ease.
