While waiting for my order at a popular seafood restaurant named after a type of sodium chloride, I saw a poster advertising in its text a single piece of fish, a single piece of shrimp, and chips; however, the accompanying photo showed two pieces of shrimp. I've never noticed this sort of thing before -- is it common for advertisements to show a photo of more food than actually described in the text, particularly in terms of discrete quantities that can be easily counted?
No. It is deceptive advertising and opens the business up to lawsuits, as well as turning off anyone who orders based on the picture. Consider it DUMB.
It is the same as a woman loing at a dress a model is wearing and beleieving that its wil lo the same on her. Now that is just DUMB. Can't help them any more than those that sign things with out reading. Read or ask or be dumb.

What I'm talking about is quantity, not the subjective appearance. The quantity is objective -- nobody can claim the quantity appearing in the photo is a matter of opinion.

A local Hot Dog place here was sued over the appearance of their hot dogs on billboards for not looking like they really did in the stores... They changed their billboards...
