Sometimes when I pre-order at Amazon with something else and qualify for free shipping, they end up shipping both separately. But what happens when I cancel the portion of my order that has not shipped yet? Will they charge me shipping?
For example, I order a CD and a DVD. Both are $15 each. So, my order comes out to $30 and that qualifies for Free Super Saver Shipping. The DVD doesn’t come out until June. So, Amazon has decided to ship both separately. They mail the CD today and charge my Credit Card for the $15 only. The DVD hasn’t shipped since it hasn’t been released yet, so I still have the option to cancel. What happens when I cancel the DVD? They already charged me to $15 for the CD. So, are they now going to charge me an extra $3 or so separately if I cancel the DVD since my order won’t qualify for the $25 free shipping after cancellation?
