Oh come on, something can be done at the transmission level. This is football, not tennis. If people want to blow horns, play congas, clap, scream, etc….to support their team, how are you going to take that away from them? I’ve gone to Tampa Bay Rays game (that’s an MLB baseball team) and they hit on this cowbells, but you don’t hear that on the broadcast.

It doesnt bother me. I dont even realize the sound is being made a couple of minutes into the match.

After France complained about them, I am all for them. Anything that bothers France is a good thing.

Never happen. Holland isn't good enough to win. Besides, the Dutch are just too obnoxious and rude and don't deserve to win.

This Dutch team is good enough to win. This is a year of parity and they play one of the most complete games of anyone. Not saying it will happen but to say they arent good enough is ridiculous.

I'd think everyone using them would get tremendously light-headed.

I, too, miss the chanting and singing.

It does add to the tension, no doubt it creates what seems like a totally urgent mindset (because it F's with your head). However, that is about all the positive I can say about them. It would still be intense and urgent without them and singing fans at football matches is really enjoyable.

It was pretty funny when we were watching USA vs England, there were severe weather alerts and that "beeping" alert sound was actually soothing to the ear cause it acted like a break for my ears from the vuvuzelas.
