I've currently read other posts about people moving to florence who are worried about being bored and it being "too small of a town". My worries are the opposite. My fiance', Daughter and I will be moving that way in the next month or two for a new job my fiance' just started. My daughter will be starting 2nd great the next school year and I need an elementary school that wont be "snooty" and where she wont be over run by "ghetto" either. She is a country girl at heart! My Fiance' and I want a church town, small, friendly, close to the grocery stores but not on a busy road due to my daughter playing outside. We also have 3 dogs. Two chihuahua's and a pit bull (all sweet hearts!) that will be moving with us Is there a ban on Pit bull's around the area? all of the dogs are up to date on shots and the female pit bull is "fixed", she was my rescue dog! I've read that western florence is probably the best. If there are any suggestions on outside "country- Church style) cities that are also in good school districts where my fiance' wont have to drive too far for work in Florence that would be awesome as well. Thank you so much.

Just from looking at the crime rates, I would suggest finding somewhere outside of town. School digger is a good site to research schools.
