We are on the West side of Hwy17 in Murrells Inlet and had a quote of $1000 per year for $12000 coverage. We have a double wide home in a Seniors Park.with an estimated worth of $53-$65000.00

Has anyone had experience with Insurance Companies for this area?
What do you pay for how much coverage?
Thanks.

Just found this post. We also recently bought a place on Crooked Island Circle. Small world. What did you ever find out on insurance? We live in Upstate NY. This is our secondary residence. NYS companies won't touch us due to the proximity to the ocean.

$1000 a year for $12000 in coverage seems ridiculously high. Could the $12000 be a typo?

National Security Insurance will cover mobile homes for a much more reasonable amount.
