The Rock Hill area is a fertile recruiting ground for big time college football players. So is Spartanburg County, Berkeley County, Richland County, Lexington County, Horry County.
Charleston area may have 3 pro bowlers next year: Cincy WR AJ Green, Cincy DE Carlos Dunlap, and St Louis DE Robert Quinn. Charleston is also home of 1 of 2 Hall of Famers from SC, Art Shell (other is Harry Carson), as well as former #1 overall pick DE Courtney Brown in 2000.
SC is an outstanding state for producing top football players.
