NP, just one of those quirky things we all have. Screens.. actually are harder to come by than you think. Because most people use AC, there's no need to keep the windows open so to cut costs many places just don't put them on.

Now what you will find is an abundance of ceiling fans.

Nothing that you have ever experienced in California will prepare you for oppressive heat and humidity. The humidity gets so thick that you will think you can cut it with a knife. Heavy morning dew is a constant. Indoor humidity even with the A/C on will be above 40%.
